[Toshiba Satellite NB10t-A-10F] Control de brillo no funciona

El control de brillo en los pc Portátil Toshiba Satellite NB10t no funciona. En Ubuntu 14.04 Beta
El control de brillo se regula pulsando las teclas fn + f2 para bajar y f3 para subir. El indicador en pantalla funciona al pulsar las teclas. El indicador funciona de forma correcta pero el brillo permanece al 100% sin variar al pulsar.
Este error lo he verificado en los Live de Ubuntu, Ubuntu Gnome y Lubuntu.

Ocurre algo extraño despues de la instalación en este portatil. Despues de haber realizado la instalación de forma correcta el ordenador arranca despues de darme el mensaje de medio no presente, arranca una vez con el nuevo ubuntu. Al reiniciar de nuevo (por segunda vez) algo debe de ocurrirle al grub o al boot por que el ordenador ya no vuelve a reconocer la instalacion ni el disco duro del pc.
