Are you able to reproduce the bug, or was it a one time event?

Did the battery die while the system was suspended? If that happens, this automatic bug is generated.

Changed in linux (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium

My MacBook Pro 8,2 was giving me the same problem on ubuntu 14.04,
it stopped after i unset the autospawn of pulseaudio:

mkdir ~/.pulseaudio
echo "autospawn = no" >> ~/.pulse/client.conf

I get the same bug with an HP pavilon with wl module, I think it happens when I suspend the notebook using battery an then resume with the power connected.
