Inkscape load time high with extra font loaded

Hi

Last week I have installed approx 150 font in /usr/share/fonts directory, and tried to launch inkscape, but it takes more time than before. I have generated font cache file using 'fc-cache -f -v' command, but no improvement in loading time.

Is there any work around to reduce loading time of inkscape when extra font loaded into the system?

Please provide information about OS/platform and Inkscape version (see Inkscape menu 'Help > About Inkscape').

This issue is already tracked for current stable versions in

With current trunk, there is (at least on some systems) an additional delay depending on how many fonts are installed, as discussed in this thread on the mailing list (no report has filed for this specific issue in trunk yet):
