Bug Description

the card reader dont work on Xubuntu 14.04 on my Dell Inspiron M301z.

After researching on the net, i found a solution :

download driver realtek :

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=15&PFid=25&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

install patch on rtsx.c

http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/sys-block/rts_pstor/files/rts_pstor-linux-3.10.patch?diff_format=s&view=log

after that :

make

sudo make install

sudo depmod

after install :

sudo apt-get install libnss-myhostname

reboot !! :-)

The solution is based on the following pages :

The problem is solved with the realtek driver and the patch... What difference does it make if I install the new kernel or I create log ??
