Bug Description

I just did a full reinstall in Mint to the latest version. Sometime last week I started Banshee for the first time, and let it catalog my Music partition. That went fine. Sometime after that I "closed" the Banshee window and forgot about it.

What I expected: that Banshee would continue running while minimized to the taskbar.

What happened: This morning I found my PC running very slow. I opened System Monitor and found that both CPUs were maxed out. Banshee was the culprit. A force quit got everything back to normal.

I will try to replicate the problem.

Banshee typically freezes up when seeing an unhandled exception. Could you follow the instructions on http://banshee.fm/contribute/file-bugs to obtain a debug log and forward this bug to the upstream Banshee bug tracker please?
