Bug Description
For inkscape, the determination of the Gravity Center of arbitrary shapes could be very useful for real object conception (mock-ups, aircraft models, boomerangs, arts etc), crafted or 3d printed, but also for virtual object conception, for video games or digital animations models.
For every applications in which a little physics is involved, the determination of the Gravity Center could be a very useful fundamental feature.
This feature could also have an educational interest
I'm pretty sure it is really easy to implement as the math involved are rather easy.
The relative weight could be detemined by the alpha value or luminosity or whatever linked to the color of an object, and the computation limited in the bouding box of the object.
I attached a simple program wich do that job (among others dedicated to boomerangs) for raster pictures; here is the link where you can contact the author of the program: http://
Cheer.
