Can't create a gtalk acount using online accounts on Ubuntu 14.04 and gnome-shell

Bug Description
I add an online account for google inside gnome-shell. Since empathy is patched to use the online accounts from unity, from the chat point of view, is like I haven't set anything. And I can't see the unity online accounts.
To wokroarund that I had to login on Unity. There I could see it's online accounts and create one for google. After that, everything is working fine. But I shouldn't need to login on unity to do that (it even messed with all my keyboard hotkeys)
