Bug Description

Please sync hidapi package (a new package) from debian unstable. It would be very helpful to get it included in Trusty.

URL: http://packages.qa.debian.org/h/hidapi.html
License: GPL-3, BSD, or HIDAPI
Notes: This package will be needed for the next version of concordance/libconcord, for example.

Hi Scott, are you making a packaging request? Trusty cycle's passed (unless you can come up with a loophole), so we will need to wait for the next one.

Not a packaging request, but a sync request. Package just needs to be imported from Debian. I'm aware that it is after the Debian Import Freeze, that's why I filed a bug (otherwise it would get imported automatically).

Scott, please state in the description why this sync is necessary (as you described in your email to me), and then subscribe ~ubuntu-release so that they can consider making an exception. Bear in mind that we're in Feature Freeze [1], so this might not go through (along with the new version of concordance for which this sync is necessary).

Subscribing ubuntu-release for consideration of an exception after Import Freeze. This request is for a new package sync of an isolated library from Debian. The package builds fine without modification on Trusty [1]. The package will be needed for the next version of the concordance package.

Thanks for considering.
