Bug Description

On an HP nc6400, clean 7.04 install

1. Work on battery till gnome complains about battery being critically low (at around 4% or less)
2. Connect power adapter
3. Machine shuts down

I looked at /var/log/acpi, but there's not much to report except calls to power.sh. What else should I report to help debugging?

Thanks

I have similar issue with my ubuntu 6.06 install on ht pavillion zt3280
Although it happens anytime I remove the power adapter even when battery has more than 50% charge.

Hi guys
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you?, Can you please try with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron?

Thanks in advance.

After upgrading form 8.04 to 8.10 my laptop (Asus 3000/A3L) is rebooting if the battery status is critically low although is connected to the power! If I take out the battery, connect to power an boot than the laptop works. As soon as insert the battery (the laptop is still on the power), I get the message that battery is too low and computer will shut down !This issue was not present under 8.04
