Bug Description

Binary package hint: casper

I have PC with 3 button serial Genius Mouse on COM1, this mouse use MouseSystems protocol. When I boot in Ubuntu LiveCD mouse not work, because in /etc/X11/xorg.conf in InputDevice section uses PS/2 mouse (I have only PS/2 port without PS/2 mouse), but if I edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf (change Protocol and Device Options) and restart X-Window System mouse is work.

Thanks for your bug report.
Which version of the Ubuntu Live CD do you use?
Can you paste in this bug report the original InputDevice section found after starting the live CD and the InputDevice section with the changes necessary for your mouse to work.

Changed in xorg:
