Bug Description
When in full screen mode and you want to return to non full screen mode, the terminator shrinks to size 0.
It only happens when the tab bar isn't there. As soon as you open another tab, entering and exiting full screen is normal.
So at some level it uses the tab bar to set its original size?
For me it would already be a solution, if I could choose to always see the tab bar, even if there's only one tab. But I don't find that option yet.

Hi, Nine times out of ten, these strange window resizing issues are because Terminator and the Window Manager are "arguing" over the correct window size. Certainly your debug output looks like the instances of this I've seen before.
Try disabling "Preferences" -> "Global" -> "Window geometry hints" (not checked). If that fixes your issue please report back here.
