Bug Description

- I plugged an SD card into the SD card reader
- I copied a file with Nautilus from my Desktop to the SDCard by dragging and dropping it
=> it seemed to copy fine, with no error message
- When done, I ejected the SDCard by clicking on the "eject"-like button in Nautilus
=> I got a message that said "Writing data. Don't remove the device until finished"
=> then another message which I don't remember exactly but it said it was now ok to remove the device
- I removed the SDCard

After that, the file on the SDcard was 0bytes in sized, which I only found out when I tried to use it on a smartohone.

That a 92Mb file could not be copied without error is already bad, but what is absolutely disastrous is that the error didn't even get detected and no error message was ever shown either when copying the file or when removing the sd card.

Later, I tried to copy the file again.
This time, the progress bar got stuck very close to 100% (after progressing very quickly from 0% to almost 100%) and got frozen there forever.
After waiting several minutes, I clicked on the "x" next to the progress bar to cancel the copying operation, but the window with the progress never closed (the cancel button is now greyed out). That never works, by the way.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.13 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
