It would be much better to have Disqus available instead or in addition to the integrated commenting. In terms of perfomance and security and also for SEO Marketing it would be adviced to use Disqus instead of the integrated solution.
I suggest that there is an option to use Disqus and when the Disqus account data get entered that then the build in commenting solution gets automatically deactivated.
