L4D 2 has poor performance with Nvidia on Linux Mint 16

Linux Mint 16 - 64 Bit - Cinnamon

Left 4 Dead 2 in Linux Mint 13, 14 and 15 runs excellently with Nvidia GT 630.
On Linux Mint 16, it runs very choppy.

This is happening all the time on Linux Mint 16.

Which graphics drivers are you using? Which version?

Nvidia 319 - 319.32-0ubuntu7

It's likely that this is a regression in the Nvidia drivers, so it may have to be logged there instead (they are not open-source, so can only be fixed by Nvidia)
