totem does not even open

unable to open any videos using totem and also unable to open the totem interface itself. the only player that works is the mediaplayer coreapp from the ubuntu touch project. None of the other players even open

What do you get if you start totem from a terminal?

When I start totem in terminal, I get:

totem: error while loading shared libraries: libwayland-egl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Thanks for reporting this bug and help in making Ubuntu better. I'm duplicating this bug with bug 1206371 as it seems the same issue. Please check the workarounds commented on that bug report.
