After the update your package information, essential package "ubuntu-minimal" could be located. This can occur because you have no official mirror in your sources of software, or due to an excessive load of the mirror that you use. See /etc/apt/sources.list for the current list of your software sources.
In the case of overloaded mirror, you can again try the update later.

This issue can be caused by the mirror server being unavailable/overloaded at the time of the update. Please attempt the update again and let us know whether you get the same error.

retrying resolved this problem for me, perhaps this should be default behaviour instead of giving a bug?
