Fixed ethernet not working, and dmesg says upon connecting the ethernet cable.

Have the same problem on Kubuntu 14.04, ethernet connection breaks down on high traffic load (e.g. rsync over GigE) after a while, and then it turns on an off, but it's not working anymore. After that I am not able to shutdown or reboot the machine, it crashes the system while shutdown.
