Bug Description

Well, another ubuntu update, another round of fighting to get sound working. Dual boot to Windows 8 to make sure sound works, so hardware is fine.

While in Linux terminal:

Spectrumknight, apart from using the oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms package, you *also* seem to have installed a custom version of the snd kernel module somehow:

[ 138.914918] snd: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel

So you'll have one kernel base, a snd module from a second source, and a third snd-hda-* module from the dkms package. That probably makes the dkms package compile itself against the wrong headers, causing the above.

Hello David,

You got point on this. In fact it was the remnants of a realtrek drivers compilation.

I did delete the snd.ko and did reinstall the whole sound base, then i have installed the daily dkms.

Everythink back now. Thank you so much for your usefuk remark.
