Bug Description

The buildouts/bootstrap.py in the source file is out of date, and does not support the options which are passed by the recipe, resulting in failed builds (bootstrapping steps fails because --find-links options is not recognized)

Yes indeed.

The thing is : all the buildouts currently in buildbots/ are meant for the old style bootstrap (dating back from version 1).
That's why we did not upgrade that bootstrap yet : it'd mean upgrading those buildouts as well.

(non standalone buildouts are unaffected, since they run with the bootstrap they provide)
