Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror-nsplugins

Everytime I try to launch a video in konqueror, it freezes. I have installed flash from the flashplugin-nonfree package.
When I use firefox, I don't have any flash problem.
Steps to reproduce:
- Launch konqueror
- go on any flash site(youtube.com,...)
- konqueror load the page, but before it displays the page, it completely freezes, the only way to take back control is to do a 'killall nspluginviewer' then konqueror finish to load the page, without the flash stuff.
I've done two backtrace, here is the steps I've done for the first one:
- installing kdebase-dbg
- following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace and launching konqueror with gdb
- went to Youtube, then kill konqueror with Ctrl + Alt + Echap
- retrieved the backtrace
and for the second:
- launching konqueror and went to youtube
- attaching gdb to nspluginviewer
- kill konqueror, kill nspluginviewer
- retrieved the backtrace

I have problems with nspluginviewer for some days now, too. It doesn't crash, but it often eats up all the CPU time on my both Gutsy machines. The problem occurs with both viewers, Konqueror (3.5.7) and Firefox (2.0.0.5). May be it's related to the bugs #92207 and #66573.

Thomas,
are you sure to have problem also in Firefox? Please report more details to the original bug (127876). Thanks again.

I have the same problem with nspluginviewer. Flash in Firefox works for me, so does openoffice.org.
