Bug Description
Scratch won't save files to which you paste text instead of typing. Steps to reproduce:
1) Create an empty file, e.g. ~/somefile
2) Run scratch-text-editor ~/somefile
3) Paste some text into it
4) Close scratch
5) Run cat ~/somefile and observe the empty file
