tile sizes hard coded, experienced on N7 landscape

Bug Description

tile sizes do not seem to scale to the appropriate window size
even altering grid unit does not seem to effect

I tested it on desktop and emulator today. Works fine for me. Is this side-stage? Is there something specific about it?

when you say tested, did you create a window no emulator smaller than what you normally test with ?
it could be that N7 sidestage is smaller realestate than what is on N10 (and N4)
I guess the expectation would be that the app would scale down to fit.

Here are the screenshots with different window sizes. This is just a qmlscene window. Btw, is it possible to resize the emulator window?

hmm - screen shots seem to imply it should be scaling.
maybe its something else going on? ss reporting wrong width?
with the emulator, i think it relies on android's emulator, which there are ways to alter the overall screen size.

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to test it as I don't have nexus 7. Can you give me the size of side stage window? Or someone else can provide me that info?

side stage is 40 GU in width, and GU = 21 on Flo (flo == n7) so 840pixels

We're changing flo to 18 px per grid unit, so the side stage window would be 720x1080, the issue remains.

@kgunn72: h=units.gu(40) and w = units.gu(21)?? How's that even usable? I guess it has something to do with pixel size. Whatever, I really don't have the resources to deal with this bug :( Can someone give me some advice for the emulator if it is possible to reproduce it in that environment.

sorry, more specifically the grid unit width of sidestage is 40 & the current GU = 21 pixels, so thats 840 pixels.
But as Saviq indicated, GU will be changing to GU = 18 pixels, so will result in 720 pixels.
