Evince freezes Unity on drag to full window

Dragging evince from half-side to full window causes a complete freeze of Unity.

Try out:
1) Open a PDF file
2) Drag the top bar to the right edge of the screen: the window resizes to cover the right half of the screen
3) Quickly drag the top bar to the top edge of the screen and release: Unity will freeze while resizing evince.

Killing Evince after passing to a console with CTR+ALT+F1 does not resolve the problem.
