Bug Description
affected computer: HP ZBook 15, dual-booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu (64 bit)
It frequently occurs that the notebook freezes at the beginning of the boot process. There are several randomly occuring issues:
* Sometime only the boot options are shown and no counter (of seconds of time). The machine would not boot at all without pressing Enter. Even if I press the key, the booting process usually stops shortly, showing some text ("unable to ... transceiver", or something like, I do not remember precisely).
* Sometime the text about the transceiver is shown in small letters and with the purple background. In other cases the letters are much larger and with black background.
* If the machine freezes while it is booting there is no help but the long press of the power button.
* This time I was able to succesfully boot only after about 4 unsuccesfull attempts. Previous days it was about 50 % of unsuccesfull attempts.
I have both the official kernel and also the lastest mainline build. The booting issues occur with both of them.
