Bug Description

Especially after the -lts enablement → trusty upgrades, we expect /usr/lib/xorg/protocol*.txt to only yield protocol.txt, not protocol-precise.txt etc. any more.

That's the correct way to put it, the lts package redirects xserver-common's /usr/lib/xorg/protocol.txt to /usr/lib/xorg/protocol-precise.txt, and I fear that xorg-lts-transitional might need to remove this diverts for all xserver-common* packages.
