Bug Description

[MIR] slof

Availability: qemu-slof is available in universe

Rationale: qemu-slof is required by qemu-system-ppc (which is in
main). Without it, qemu-system-ppc will segfault.

Security: qemu-slof does not affect any programs on the system,
other than providing a bios for VMS started in the ppc emulator.
There are no CVEs listed in mitre, secunia, ubuntu or debian
trackers.

QA: No setup is needed after package installation. It 'just
works'.

Dependencies: there are no dependencies.

The server team will provide any needed help in maintaining
this package.

Assigning to Matthias since this is more up his alley. But I will note that you should subscribe the maintaining team to bugs for this package. Presumably that's ubuntu-server?

Changed in slof (Ubuntu):
assignee: nobody → Matthias Klose (doko)

@mterry - thanks, smoser has subscribed ubuntu-server to the slof bugs.

I'm happy with the upstream history and maintenance here, and that we'll spend very little time touching this ourselves. Would like to get the build failure in -proposed sorted before release, but that shouldn't block the MIR. Approved, and promoting.

Oh, and look at that, doko fixed the build failure. :)
