Bug Description

I'm running Ubuntu-builder on Precise amd64 , and tried to use it to rebuild any version of Ubuntu Mini Remix (12.04 -> 13.10) and same results every time - The iso boots to busybox complaining that it can't find squashfs.

Hi, I am a user such as you, however I have a question: can you provide the build log produced by Ubuntu Builder, in the /home/ubuntu-builder/ directory?

Regards,
Mélodie

Attached is a screenshot of what happens when I attempt to boot the build iso.

I'd also like to add that I tried the iso on parallels, virtualbox, unetbootin onto a usb and tried on a physical machine, and lastly burned to blank dvd and tried on physical machine. All same results

Hello and thanks for your bug report. What kind of changes did you do to the mini remix? Packages, repositories, ecc.

In the above example test run, all I did was an apt-get update.

jtran, have you checked the md5sums of the Ubuntu Mini Remix ISO before starting to use it? (I have never tried working on a 64bits, but that would be interesting, when I can find some time for it).

And maybe you might want to add a few packages. I suggest the following ones:
libc-dev-bin (2.15-0ubuntu10.3)
libc6-dev (2.15-0ubuntu10.3)
linux-libc-dev (3.2.0-37.58)

and an X server, a desktop environment... even small.

PS: don't pay attention to the version numbers. I did a copy paste from a note I put on a file for myself. What is important is the name of the packages, because they are important packages which are missing in Ubuntu Mini Remix.

Looks like the lack of a desktop env was the cause of my problems. I tried blackbox and that was enough to get it working. Thanks Melodie!

Hi,

John, the status should be edited. I suggest "not a bug" or something of the kind?
