Bug Description

After I included the feisty-backports to my NEW installation, the updatemanger want to update HAL from 0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12 to 0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1.
This includes hal, hal-device-manager, libhal-storage1 and libhal1.

After these Updates and a restart I get a failed to initialize HAL Error and the Network connection is broken.

With older Installation (running sinth several Month) I have these updates installed without any Problems.

This Problem is comming only with a new Installation and every time I tried it.

Thank you

René

Are you still having the problem? What is the ouput of "hald --daemon=no --verbose=yes"?
Maybe this is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/114427.
