Bug Description
In Gnome 3.10 and upwards the Wacom plugin in Gnome Control Center has several improvements over previous versions. Button mapping has an on screen display that helps you map the tablet buttons with a representation of the tablet, and for Intuos 4 Wacom tablets that have the little OLED displays, when the buttons are mapped the shortcut is displayed on the tablet's OLED display.
Until Gnome 3.10 the only way to set the OLED displays at the same time as button mapping was to compile 3rd party code and edit some scripts, which is not ideal for the average Ubuntu user.
As Ubuntu 14.04 is the LTS version, it might be a good idea to backport this feature to Ubuntu's patched gnome-shell-daemon and control centre as it might be the last opportunity to provide this in the Unity desktop until/if this appears in Unity 8.
