Bug Description

In 5.6 XtraDB has a patch that uses atomic ops without a fallback for platforms without native atomic ops support.

Thus XtraDB (in MariaDB) fails to compile on RHEL5. We had to compile it as an optional dynamic plugin for now, instead of making it a "default InnoDB" implementation in MariaDB.

Our RHEL5 builder has gcc 4.1.2
