*steps*
- create environment: CentOS, neutron with gre segmentation
- add node
- turn off "Use Vlan tagging" for one network
- navigate to node's network settings page
- place public and the untagged network to same interface
- save settings

*result*
the error "Untagged networks can not be assigned to one interface" is not displayed

Yes, any untagged network (not more than one) can be paired with untagged public w/o warnings in 'Nodes' >> 'Configure Interfaces' tab.
