Bug Description
With the Warty default installation, I was using a resolution of 1600x1200 (75
Hz) on my system. The system is P4 with 845G chipset and the monitor is Dell
P1130 (21 inch CRT). Also this was working after upgrading to Hoary till about 2
weeks ago. After upgrading to the latest Hoary packages, the X is always
starting at a resolution of 800x600 (53Hz) and the other resolution available is
640x480 (66Hz).
I reinstalled Warty from the CD and the X was back to 1600x1200. But syncing to
the latest Hoary packages, the resolution is down to 800x600.
The xorg-common installed is version 6.8.1-1ubuntu1.
When I try 'X -configure', it fails giving the follwoing error:
(--) PCI:*(0:2:0) Intel Corp. 82845G/GL [Brookdale-G] Chipset Integrated
Graphics Device rev 1, Mem @ 0xf0000000/27, 0xff680000/19
Missing output drivers. Configuration failed.
