Bug Description
I use Ubuntu 12.01 and Leafpad 0.8.18.1-2 and must also confirm
http://
or in short leafpad truncates files opened via ssh on a remote server.
I saved the file, closed it, reopened it. The file has no update.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http:// www.chiark. greenend. org.uk/ ~sgtatham/ bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http:// wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingPr ocedures
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
4. In particular how are you opening these remote files over ssh how are you mounting them. What commands or steps did you take to open the file.
5. Did you mount the remote system read write.?
6. What protocol where you using.?
7. Is leafpad running on the local or remote machine?
8. Was your ssh session active when you saved the file?
9. Was your editing ading text to the end?
