Bug Description

At the moment you cannot have both amd64 and i386 eatmydata packages installed at the same time, yet you are likely to still have both types of binary on your system.

If possible, can this be converted to multiarch?

Will be fixed in utopic+1. I don't want to push such a great change during the FF.

I beg to say this is already the case. In Debian we're not doing anything special to have libeatmydata be multi-arch safe, you just need to install the library in a multi-arch location, specifying --libdir at configure time.
