Kubuntu 14.04 Kickoff Font Look Ugly / Jerky

Bug Description
I have turned on slight hinting antialiasing for GTK must have apps in Kubuntu 14.04 (February 2014 daily builds). The apps menu fonts look good now (increased the size to 10 from 9- should be default anyway), but the KICKOFF menu fonts look ugly and VERY JERKYy. Qt apps look good. Other KDE distros (like Kororra based on Fedora does not have this problem at all). Not good for an LTS. Not at all. Immediate fix request.
