Bug Description

Mostly a reminder to myself, although I won't complain if someone beats me to it. (If you do, please steal the assigned to field.)

Note however that doko wants to coordinate any upload here with his test rebuild, running with 3.4 as default.

The 3.3 -> 3.4 switch should be done in python3-defaults, so shouldn't be related to dh-python merge.

As Sebastien said, I have prepared a merge (not sync, but the delta greatly reduced).

no. dh-python encodes its own default value.

FTR: dh-python uses /usr/share/python/debian_defaults and
/usr/share/python3/debian_defaults.
Fallback list is used only in python or python3 installation is broken
(i.e. if you skip this patch in Ubuntu, it will probably not change
much - if python{,3} installation is broken, it will FTBFS anyway).
