kopete freezes after about 10 minutes while using webcam

After upgrading from Kubuntu Edgy to Feisty I have encountered a new problem in Kopete 0.12.4. After opening a webcam session over MSN, so that I am both sending from my webcam and receiving video from the person I am chatting with, Kopete will freeze after about 10 minutes of videochatting. The entire application freezes so that I am not able to get a response from the chat window or the main window where you select people to chat with. This problem has occurred consistently since the upgrade.

in Kopete versions 12.4 12.3 and 12.2 and the latest version in gusty kopete freezes for me after about 10 _seconds_ using a webcam(freezes in video chat window and in the configuration window). aMSN works properly with both of my 2 webcams**: Bus 003 Device 012: ID 046d:08b2 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Pro 4000 and Bus 003 Device 013: ID 0733:0401 ViewQuest Technologies, Inc. CS330 WebCam. as with the oringnal poster i too have: "The entire application freezes so that I am not able to get a response from the chat window or the main window where you select people to chat with"

**note the ViewQuest cam works kinda flakey in amns and other probrams like camarama.

Just upgraded to Gutsy, Kopete 0.12.17. Just wanted to note that the problem persists.

Should have been Kopete 0.12.7

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta or later?
