kubuntu 14.04 installer crashed as soon as it has started

Bug Description

Trying to install 64 bit desktop kubuntu 14.04 Alpha-2, iso downloaded from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/releases/trusty/alpha-2/

Installation is tried on a vm with Virtual Box.

As soon as the machine is started with iso, it has crashed with and even automatic problem report could not be invoked, neither command prompt was available at the moment.

Could only captured the screen shot, attaching the same.

Tried again, some times seen different errors after proceeding little a head than what is reported during actual issue mentioned.

Later on tried without connecting to internet, then the installation is complete.

Looks like the issue does not seemed to be consistently reproducible.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1273304

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
