Bug Description

We encounter a bug.

When an user want to create a note (Messaging>>Organizer>>Notes) he cannot save it. He has the error message follow : "Access Denied

The requested operation cannot be completed due to security restrictions. Please contact your system administrator.

(Document type: Note, Operation: read) " .

I remark when my user doesn't have stage for his note, it works. But, before report this bug, I test quickly in runboot and there with or without stage the user demo can create a new note.

Can you test and fix it?

The Eezee-It contract reference is : M120605629-gkmhbnff

I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards.

Hello,

This issue has been working fine with latest trunk, but having this in stable 7.0. So, as per blocking issue, I am assign it to OPW.

Thanks for reporting.

I just ran a Full BZR Pull from Trunk and still get the Error so it is not working in Trunk. (2-4-14)

Previously I had created about 12 Notes so it was working at one point.

Just logged in as Admin and can create notes. My normal Self with all assignable Rights cannot add the Notes. I do not know if Admin or Self created the Notes earlier. All are visible to Both users.

It seems to me there should be a SIMPLE "Super User" right category which assigns all rights to a user other than Admin. The only thing I can see working otherwise is to Rename Admin at the Outset and use that in order to have a usable system for one primary user.

Right issues happen again and again it seems.

I did even try to delete all the related security rules and group restrictions for the "note" object - the only result is that the menu point disappears fully for all other user than admin?!? Maybe i did overlooked some inherited view but i really do not think so.

Could anyone figure out what the branch number was where it still worked - so we may find out what merge or fix caused the problem - Thank you!
