Ctrl+V doesn't paste

Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox
When i attempt to paste information from any website into blackboard.com (across two open tabs), I get the follow message:
By default, your browser doesn't allow websites to Cut, Copy or Paste text for security reasons. Click OK to see a technical note at mozilla.org which describes how you can enable this. However, if I right click and go to 'Paste' the text enters perfectly.
To recreate:
Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04
Firefox 2.0.0.4
Two tabs open, one general text tab, one blackboard tab
copy paste in general tab.
attempt to paste using ctrl+v
get frustrated
right click 'paste
get happy

Works fine here. And the only hit I get for "By default, your browser doesn't allow websites to Cut, Copy or Paste text for security reasons." with google is this bug report. Please provide more detailed information on how to reproduce this bug or if you don't experience this any more, please close it. Thank you.
