Polly should not force use of t.co to open links

Bug Description

Currently, opening links in Polly results in the shortened t.co link being opened. Since the Twitter API also serves the full URL (which is already shown onhover) the use of a t.co redirection should not be enforced.

The status quo has no user benefit whatsoever and enables Twitter to track user interaction, possibly on an individual basis (e.g. through IP address and cross-referencing timeline).

Opening links through t.co should be either removed or optional.

The Twitter Display Requirements specify that clients should link to the t.co address and use the original one only for display purposes. Twitter can permanently cancel the token of any application that does not follow the requirements.

True, but adding a context menu option "Open original URL" or "Copy original URL" would not infringe those requirements.

Adding to my last comment - using the expanded_url for the title tag is a recommended practice only. No part of the Developer Display Requirements prohibit further interaction with tweet meta data.
