Bug Description
On trusty with proposed updates enabled. When I start Qt Creator directly (for example, by running qtcreator on the terminal), it starts to consume lots of memory to the point that the whole desktop freezes and switching tty gets quite slow.
If I click the Ubuntu SDK launcher (not necessarily the Qt Creator one) on the Dash, this same behavior occurs. Nonetheless, if I run ubuntu-sdk on the terminal there's no problem and the SDK/Qt Creator loads normally.

We have moved on to QtC3 , please check if the issue still exists for you. I cannot reproduce it, both ways to start QtCreator behave the same and don't consume lots of memory (less then 2% in top)
