How many audio jacks at rear panels ?

you have to change "Channel Mode" to 4ch

@ Raymond

I have a total of 6 audio Jacks and I use 1 for Stereo. Analog output settings are Analog Surround 4.0 Output.

Don't Know what to do with this:
Simple mixer control 'Channel Mode',0
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: '2ch' '4ch' '6ch' '8ch'
  Item0: '2ch'

Default sink name: alsa_output.pci-0000_00_04.0.analog-surround-40

fuser -u /dev/snd/*

why "device or resource busy" when using speaker-test ?

did pulseaudio release the device when no application connected ?

To turn timer-based scheduling off add tsched=0 in /etc/pulse/default.pa:

/etc/pulse/default.pa

load-module module-udev-detect tsched=0

do you mean your motherboard has green, black, orange and grey jack for 7.1 , pink mic and blue jack at rear panel

I don't understand why there is channel mode control if there are enough jack for 7.1

MX16 AUX Input /Back-Surround Output Volume

Register 16H controls the volume of auxiliary input and back surround output.

Does this mean your motherboard does not have aux input ?

if yes, the volume control should be changed from "Aux" to "Side"

What do I do with that Link?
Yes, my MB has green, black, orange and grey jack for 7.1 , pink mic and blue jack at rear panel.

I looked for volume control and I got "Fatal Error: Unable to connect to PulseAudio: OK"
I don't have volume control

Where do I change from "Aux" to "Side"?

I think that it all started when I installed and uninstalled Rygel. rygel - a collection of DLNA/UPnP AV services. When I uninstalled Rygel it must have erased Pulse Audio.

How do I reinstall all the PulsAudio and GStreamer components?

Thanks

some controls are redundant when there are 6 jacks at rear panel

this must be independent since no need to retask any jack

Simple mixer control 'Surround Jack Mode',0
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: 'Shared' 'Independent'
  Item0: 'Shared'

you have to follow up with Takashi Iwai and Andrew Boettcher about using aux as back surround if your motherboard has 6 jacks

rename "aux playback volume" to "Side playback Volume"
