Bug Description
1. Put Ubuntu to sleep ("Suspend" mode).
2. Wake Ubuntu from sleep.
What happens:
* The word "Linu" is printed in yellow, near the top left corner of the black screen.
* After a second or two, the "Linu" disappears, and the unlock screen appears.
What should happen:
* The unlock screen appears, without any gibberish beforehand.
Problem occurs with: Ubuntu 5.10, 6.06, 6.10, and 7.04, on a Toshiba Satellite SA50-112.
(Apologies if this is a duplicate: I could not search for this because of bug 126708. "Linu" also appeared to the reporters of bug 42556 and bug 81548, but this is not the same problem.)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
