Typing comma on Firefox with num pad prints pipe on the screen

Typing a comma (,) with the num pad gets interpreted as pipe (|) in Firefox.
Typing comma from the alphabets gives correctly comma but not from the num pad.
A bit annoying especially when doing online banking. All other applications
(OOo, gedit...) seem to work correctly with both alphabet portion and numpad
portion of the keyboard.

I encountered the same problem with Mozilla when using Mandrake and it was fixed
later with an update. Somebody at the users board said it was caused because
Mozilla didn't respect the KDE settings or something. This is probably related
so maybe the fix exists.

I'm running Hoary and Firefox 1.0 with a finnish keyboard. It seems that other
finnish users have the same problem

Maybe a stupid question, but I have never patched before:
How to apply the patch and in which folder?

The patch refers to following files:
mozilla/widget/src/gtk/nsGtkEventHandler.cpp
mozilla/widget/src/gtk2/nsGtkKeyUtils.cpp

but I just can't find them.

The patch is against the source for firefox, not against the installed files.
I'll have a new version ready in a few days with the patch applied.

Bump. Did this bug get forgotten or is the Hoary development in such a phase
that this should wait?
