Bug Description
So i tried the installer today for the first time and realised that it still uses the old launcher instead of the new one that came with 1.6.
I have no experience with bzr and only git, so i'll write what needs to be done to fix it and someone else can do it.
First off, the new launcher needs to be downloaded instead of the old one. The new URL is: https:/
I do not know if you use md5,sha256 or whatever sums to verify the download, but here are the sums:
SHA256: e8d90b2637b141b
MD5: 85273e24404cc68
Now the last thing that needs to be done is to change the .application file.
changing the Exec line to this made it work for me:
Exec=sh -c "java -jar /usr/share/
Notice that the new jar file starts with a capital M
The old command which set how much ram that will be reserved and such is not nessesary in the new launcher, since the launcher handles that itself and you can configure it in the settings.
I hope that someone will patch this so newbies also can easily install minecraft to their elementary computer :)

The primary part of this bug was fixed, and I'm opening a new bug regarding the RAM usage.
