Bug Description

I'm on Xubuntu 13.10 (latest ver and fully updated). Just finished installing Ruby on Rails with RVM (using these instructions http://gorails.com/setup/ubuntu/13.10) and was following the instruction of installing MySql and I received the error. I'll try to restart and reinstall and see what happens. Thanks for the help :).

May not be usefull but this is a log of recent packages I've installed. Beside these packages (and various updates) this is a pretty fresh virtual machine:

OKAY! No worries. I made a snapshot on virtualbox before the installation. Just loaded it and made sure to install each ONE AT A TIME. Btw if anyone knows how to delete bug reports I would appreciate knowing since I dont think this is really worth keeping in launchpad.

Thank you for the update.

We don't delete bugs, since we don't know what else might reference them. Instead, we just mark as Invalid, which hides bugs from searches (by default), etc. For future reference, I think you can mark bugs as Invalid yourself, too.

Changed in mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
