Bug Description

XMir works fine on my laptop except when I switch account.

When I try to switch user using the cog icon the mouse pointer disappears from the login screen.
Logging with any user but the current one leaves the mouse hidden for the session.
Logging back with the first user shows the mouse again.

But if I login with one user, logout and log back in with a different user I don't lose the mouse.

This bug can be reproduced with any of the 3 users on my computer.

Presently XMir uses the X software cursor rather than its own. And the X software cursor is known to be slightly buggy in some cases. But the logic is all in Xorg.

When you disable XMir, X will generally switch back to a "hardware cursor" which performs better and is generally more reliable. So this gives the illusion that XMir is breaking the cursor. Actually XMir's just using a slightly unreliable feature of Xorg.
