WAV file Meta data on being saved

Mixxx on windows 7; when adding meta data to a WAV file, it is not saved. Once you exit the program and re-enter all the meta data you entered is lost.

Hi Jay. Are you referring to the file metadata or the metadata shown in Mixxx? We don't save metadata to file, we save it to the Mixxx library. Did the file change directories or is it in the same place? Is it on a removable thumb drive?

Are you using mixxx browse mode?

I am referring to the files in Mixxx Library... I have music files in my library that are WAV files. I would edit the fields (All) of these files, such as Artist, Track Name, BPM etc... Mixxx accepts my new entries and they remain there until I close Mixxx.

When I show up at a gig, and load up those edited files, the files are back the way they where before being edited. It is annoying to be doing this over and over again.

I am using Mixxx 1.11.0 on Windows 7 ultimate... Intel core 5 processor.

Also will like you to know that LateNite 1366x768 skin at time cause the system to crash. I would have to unplug my controller to be prompt to reconfigure my sound card and then I would have to change skins, Load up the program and once started then I can go back to my desired skin.

My Hard disk is SSD internal and my library location is in my music... files never moves... and I had an HDD before SSD same crap

Thanks for the update -- that definitely is not the intended behavior. Changes to the file in the Mixxx library should persist across restarts of Mixxx.

Could you provide the Mixxx log file for a run of Mixxx where you edit one of these files in Mixxx?
