Users appear multiple times in the dropdown list

Each user that I receive a message from on Google Talk or Facebook appears multiple times in the Messaging dropdown menu.

Clean install of ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

I am dealing the same problem. I get a double notification of a received message and when I click on one of the two the other gets grayed out and i cant click it nor clean it from the menu.
